The number of fatalities from Hurricane John, which hit the southern region of Mexico, has risen to 22.
The death toll in Mexico’s south increased after Hurricane John struck last Monday. The hurricane, which caused floods and landslides, has now claimed the lives of 22 individuals.
Authorities reported that 18 people lost their lives in Guerrero, one of Mexico’s poorest states, while 3 individuals died in Oaxaca and 1 in Michoacan. Last year, in October, Mexico was hit by Hurricane Otis, reaching category 5, resulting in the death of 50 individuals.
