In an elementary school in the Chhattisgarh state of India, 65 students were hospitalized after being poisoned by a dead lizard found in their lunch. An investigation has been launched into the incident. According to national reports, a student at Gajadharpur Turripani Primary School noticed a dead lizard on his plate during lunch. All students were instructed to stop eating after officials were alerted. The 65 students who had consumed the meal experienced symptoms such as nausea, stomach pain, and vomiting. All affected students were taken to the hospital in the Balrampur-Ramanujganj area. Some of the students receiving treatment have started to be discharged. Authorities announced that an investigation has been initiated to determine how the lizard entered the school lunch.
