The Kredi ve Yurtlar Kurumu (KYK) scholarship/loan applications are checked after the announcement of university additional preference results. KYK, which provides support to millions of students every year in their educational lives, will begin its applications shortly this year as well. Scholarships provided by the KYK based on students’ economic, social, and educational situations will support many students in their educational lives this year as well. So, have the 2024-2025 KYK scholarship/loan applications started, and when will they begin? The scholarship and loan applications, eagerly awaited by millions of students, were received between October 12-19, 2023, in the previous academic year. This year’s applications are also expected to take place within the October month following the completion of the placement procedures by ÖSYM. The scholarship/loan applications are accepted via e-Government between the dates announced to the public yearly through written and visual media. Students without an e-Government password must go to PTT branches to obtain an e-Government password, or they must have one of the other e-Government access methods (internet banking, e-signature, mobile signature, T.C. identity card). During the application, information regarding the student’s economic, social, and educational situation is requested, and these details are confirmed by comparing them with data obtained from public institutions. Based on the assessment, scholarships are provided to a certain number of students determined according to the budget situation, while other eligible students receive student loans in accordance with the regulations. • Children of martyrs, (if single, their single sibling) • Children of veterans, (if single, the veteran themselves) • Students determined to have a disability of 40% or more with a health board report • Students whose parents have passed away • Those who completed their high school and equivalent education in boarding schools under the Ministry of Family and Social Policies • Those who completed their high school and equivalent education at Darüşşafaka High School • Students who are amateur national athletes
