A new development regarding the payment of holiday bonuses to retirees before the Ramadan Feast has occurred. The date for the deposit of the bonus differences for retirees has been clarified. The Social Security Institution (SGK) announced when the difference payments for the Ramadan Feast bonus will be made for retirees. The current status of the 1000 TL difference payment for retiree holiday bonuses continues to be questioned by millions of retirees. Retirees who received 3 thousand liras out of the 4 thousand lira holiday bonus are waiting for the remaining 1000 lira difference to be paid. With the decision published in the Official Gazette, the SGK will make difference payments to 15.5 million people within the scope of the retiree holiday bonus. So, what is the current status of the 1000 TL difference payments for retiree holiday bonuses? When will the 1000 TL bonus difference be paid? In a statement from the SGK, it was stated that “We will start the payment of the holiday bonus difference for our retirees and beneficiaries on April 3, 2025.” The decision to increase the retiree holiday bonus from 3 thousand liras to 4 thousand liras, published in the Official Gazette with the signature of President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, entered into force today. In addition to the 3000 liras transferred to accounts, it is expected that the schedule for the SGK’s 1000 lira difference payments will be determined. Since the proposal to increase the holiday bonus to 4 thousand liras did not pass in the Turkish Grand National Assembly, an initial payment of 3 thousand liras was started to be made to retirees. According to the schedule announced by the SGK, bonuses were started to be paid on March 24 and completed by March 28.
