The recent situation regarding the July salary increase for civil servants and retirees based on the 3-month inflation difference has started to be discussed among the millions of civil servants and retirees who will receive a raise in July. The 3-month inflation difference has been revealed by TÜİK. After the inflation data for March was announced, the focus of civil servants and retirees shifted to the 3-month inflation difference. Working civil servants, as well as SSK and Bağ-Kur retirees, have their salaries adjusted for inflation twice a year in January and July based on the inflation difference. With the announcement of the third inflation data of the year, which is the March inflation rate, civil servants and retirees have already begun calculating the percentage of raise they will receive in July. So, how much is the 3-month inflation difference? How much will the salary increase for civil servants and retirees be in July 2025? The amount of the 3-month inflation difference has become a subject of inquiry by millions of civil servants and retirees with the announcement of the March inflation data by TÜİK. Civil servants who receive an inflation increase and retirees whose raises are determined based on inflation, are already calculating the percentage of raise they will receive in July 2025 with the announcement of the third inflation data of 2025. So, how much is the 3-month inflation increase? Here are the salary raise rates for civil servants and retirees based on the 3-month inflation difference. According to the data shared by the Turkish Statistical Institute (TÜİK), the inflation rate for March was announced as 2.46% monthly. Accordingly; Social Security Institution (SGK) and Bağ-Kur retirees have already earned a 10.06% inflation increase for March 2025. The inflation rise for civil servants was announced as 3.83%. This increase will be reflected in the July 2025 salaries and will be calculated cumulatively based on the monthly inflation rate announced each month. In addition to the collective bargaining raise, civil servants and retired civil servants also receive an inflation increase. Based on the collective bargaining raise, civil servants and retired civil servants will receive their second raise in 2025 in July. By the end of March, this figure has exceeded 3.83%. The net figure will be determined after the announcement of the inflation data for April, May, and June. Based on these calculations, if 5% from the 7th Period Collective Bargaining Agreement is added to the 3.83% inflation increase, a total cumulative increase of 9.03% will occur.
