The bombing by the Israeli army continues in Lebanon and Gaza. While warplanes targeted a mosque in the south of Lebanon, Hezbollah announced that they repulsed Israeli soldiers trying to infiltrate from the border. Israel, on the other hand, stated that five rocket missiles fired from Lebanon were intercepted. Meanwhile, the United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon (UNIFIL) stationed in Lebanon became the target of gunfire once again. (Reporter: Derya Doğan) The Israeli army continues to target Lebanon from both the air and the ground.
According to an official statement from Lebanon’s news agency, Israeli warplanes hit a mosque in the town of Kfar Tibnit in southern Lebanon.
Furthermore, the Red Cross announced that health workers engaged in rescue operations in southern Lebanon were injured as a result of the attacks.
It was reported that the mosque was completely destroyed.
Hezbollah, on the other hand, stated that they repelled Israeli forces trying to infiltrate into Ramya.
Israel reported that five rocket missiles fired from Lebanon were intercepted. The statement from Hezbollah said, “We targeted Israeli enemy forces gathered in the village of Marun al-Ras with artillery shells.”
The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) revealed that Hezbollah fired about 320 rocket missiles from Lebanon into Israel yesterday.
The Israeli army announced that two soldiers from the Etzioni Brigade were seriously injured in separate clashes in southern Lebanon. Other soldiers were lightly to moderately wounded.
The army declared certain areas surrounding some towns in northern Israel as restricted areas. Israel also ordered the evacuation of 23 villages in southern Lebanon to move north of the Awali River that flows from the western Bekaa Valley into the Mediterranean.
The army claimed that evacuations were necessary for the safety of the residents due to Hezbollah’s increased activities in the region.
Additionally, the army alleged that the Lebanese organization used positions to hide weapons and carry out attacks against Israel.
Hezbollah denies the allegations of hiding weapons among civilians. The army also issued an evacuation order yesterday declaring two neighborhoods in the northern Gaza City as a “dangerous war zone.”
In a statement issued by Gaza’s Ministry of Interior, which is under Hamas leadership, residents were urged not to move.
Furthermore, health workers announced that the Israeli army killed at least 29 Palestinians in yesterday’s attacks on Gaza.
They reported that the soldiers continued to advance in the Jabalia area where thousands of people were trapped.
Residents of Jabalia, the largest historical refugee camp in the north of the region, reported being targeted by Israeli forces from both the air and the ground. The United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon (UNIFIL) stationed in Lebanon once again became the target of gunfire.
In the third attack, another UNIFIL soldier was wounded.
It remains unknown who carried out the attack, but since Thursday, the number of injured UN soldiers has risen to five.
Last week, Israel targeted UNIFIL positions in two separate attacks, resulting in four injured soldiers.
