1 Mins Read

Today, there is an important meeting in the wage negotiations for nearly 600 thousand public sector workers. It is expected that the employer side, represented by TÜHİS, will communicate their initial wage demand to the public sector workers.

Following the joint wage proposal prepared by HAK-İş and Türk-İş being presented to the Ministry of Labor and Social Security on February 25th, all eyes turned to the employer side, namely TÜHİS. Representatives of TÜHİS, working on behalf of the workers’ proposal, will meet with HAK-İş and Türk-İş at 14:00.

During the meeting hosted by the Ministry of Labor and Social Security, it is expected that TÜHİS, representing the public sector employer, will present their initial wage proposal to the worker side.

WHAT ARE THE DEMANDS OF PUBLIC SECTOR WORKERS? Public sector workers are demanding that the minimum daily wage be increased to 1800 Turkish Liras. Following this increase, a 50% wage increase is requested for the first six months of 2025. For the other six-month periods, a 25% wage increase is requested, along with an additional 10% share of prosperity.
