According to a report in Türkiye Newspaper, a construction worker’s daily wage in Istanbul reaches 4,500 liras, while it exceeds 7,000 liras in earthquake zones. Industry officials point out that the majority of qualified workers have gone to the region, highlighting the labor shortage in Istanbul. Officials state that masters are moving to earthquake zones, causing the prices there to start being demanded in major cities as well. It is noted that 182,000 construction workers are active in the region.
