Conflict outside the White House: Armed individual neutralized

In the United States, an armed individual near the White House was neutralized by Secret Service agents. The condition of the suspect taken to the hospital remains uncertain.

Local police in the U.S. identified a “suicidal individual” who may be traveling from Indiana to Washington and contacted the Secret Service. Secret Service agents quickly located the suspect’s vehicle. The vehicle had been parked near the Eisenhower Executive Office Building next to the White House.

ARMED CONFLICT OCCURRED Officers approached, and the suspect pulled out a firearm, leading to an armed conflict. In a statement published on social media platform X by Secret Service spokesperson Anthony Guiglielmi, it was mentioned, “As officers approached, the individual pulled out a firearm and an armed conflict occurred, during which our personnel opened fire.” The condition of the suspect, who was wounded and taken to the hospital by Secret Service officers, remains uncertain.
