Competition Board approved some merger and joint venture applications

According to the announcement on the Competition Authority’s website, the Board allowed the acquisition of MHM Holding Gmbh by Mavco Investments Private Ltd. Permission was also granted for the acquisition of the sole control of the security and communication technology products business unit named Keenfinity GmbH and Bosch Security Systems LLC by a fund managed or advised by Triton GP Holdco SARL, owned by Robert Bosch GmbH. The establishment of a fully operational joint venture by Hunan Yunchu Circular New Energy Technology Co., Ltd., Toyota Motor (China) Investment Co., Ltd., Meiwa (Shanghai) Corporation, and Minmetals New Energy Materials (Hunan) Co., Ltd. was deemed appropriate. The connected transactions, involving the acquisition of Pactiv Evergreen Inc. by Novolex Holdings, LLC, followed by the joint control establishment over Novolex Holdings, LLC by Apollo Capital Management L.P. and Canada Pension Plan Investment Board, were approved. The acquisition of the sole control of Biesterfeld Plastik Ticaret AŞ by Biesterfeld Plastic GmbH and Biesterfeld Özel Kimyasallar Ticaret AŞ by Biesterfeld Spezialchemie GmbH was allowed. A new joint venture between Officine Maccaferri S.p.A., indirectly controlled by Ambienta Sgr S.p.A., and Prime Synthetic Solutions Ltd., jointly controlled by Teijin Limited and Miller Prime Ltd., was found suitable. The transaction involving the acquisition of all shares of Elmer Yazılım Danışmanlık ve Ticaret Limited Şirketi through Infonet Bilgi Teknolojileri Ticaret AŞ by Mustafa Kemal Cılız and Graham David Stevinson was approved.
