A commemorative coin specially prepared for the 11th Summit of Leaders of Turkic States Organization was designed with rich details symbolizing the deep connections and cooperation among Turkic states.
During the summit held in the capital of Kyrgyzstan, Bishkek, President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan presented the commemorative coin specially made for the summit to the heads of states. According to information obtained from the General Directorate of Minting and Stamp Printing, a special commemorative coin was designed for the Turkic States Organization as part of the coin minting program for the year 2024. In the design of the Turkic States Organization Commemorative Coin, rich details symbolizing the deep connections and cooperation among Turkic states were featured. The minting of the commemorative coin highlights the international presence and cultural values of TSO, with different visuals and designs incorporated. In the design process, the TSO logo was prominently displayed, aiming for other elements in the visual to reflect the organization’s theme. Around THE LOGO, THERE IS AN EIGHT-POINTED SELJUK STAR On the front side of the commemorative coin, the organization’s logo is featured, with an eight-pointed Seljuk star surrounding the logo. Each corner of this star symbolizes 8 different meanings reflecting the values and philosophy of the organization: compassion, kindness, patience, honesty, keeping secrets, loyalty, generosity, and gratitude, which also represent the 8 countries within the organization. On the back side of the commemorative coin, flags of the member countries of the organization – Turkey, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan, TRNC, Hungary, Kyrgyzstan, and Azerbaijan – are gathered around a circle, with the expression “Unity in Language, Thought, and Deed.” This slogan symbolizes the material and spiritual unity among these countries. The honeycomb pattern in the middle of the coin represents productivity, diligence, and unity, while the handshake of two hands above this pattern symbolizes reliability in all fields, reflecting the organization as a symbol of peace and unity for regional and other geographies.
