The Capital Markets Board (SPK) and the Small and Medium Enterprises Development and Support Administration (KOSGEB) have signed a protocol for the dissemination of financial literacy among SMEs. The protocol was signed by KOSGEB President A. Serdar İbrahimcioğlu and SPK President İbrahim Ömer Gönül. Through this program, financial literacy will be provided to KOSGEB employees, along with training on venture capital markets, crowdfunding, accounting, and capital market tools, enabling SMEs to receive more effective guidance on financial management, venture capital, budgeting, and investment. SPK President Gönül stated, “SMEs, which play an important role in creating added value and providing employment in our country, also have a significant role in spreading economic prosperity to the grassroots.” Gönül noted that KOSGEB has provided support to 1.3 million businesses, totaling 183 billion lira, and in the past year alone, 28.5 billion lira has been allocated to 90 thousand businesses. İbrahimcioğlu, the President of KOSGEB, expressed his hopes for SMEs to achieve greater success and competence with this signature, which he believes will have a significant impact.
