Citizen’s inflation expectations for the next 12 months rose modestly to 59.3 percent in March. Meanwhile, the expectations of the real sector and market participants declined.
The Central Bank of the Republic of Turkey (CBRT) published the March 2025 Sectoral Inflation Expectations. According to the report, annual inflation expectations for the next 12 months decreased by 0.7 points to 24.6 percent for market participants in March.
Inflation expectations for the real sector also decreased by 0.8 points to 41.1 percent, while it increased by 0.1 point to 59.3 percent for households. The percentage of households expecting inflation to decrease in the next 12 months increased by 3 points compared to the previous month, reaching 31.3 percent.
