Chinese Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Guo Jiakun emphasized that the US should not shape its relations with China with a “Cold War mentality.” Speaking at a press conference in Beijing today, Guo Jiakun shared evaluations on the latest report published by the US. Guo expressed that this report is “one of the biased and irresponsible documents” issued annually by the US government, aiming to exaggerate competition among major powers, suppress China’s development, and maintain US global hegemony. Furthermore, Spokesperson Guo highlighted the importance for the US to cease all forms of support for Taiwan’s independence and take concrete steps to establish healthy, stable relations with China.
