It has been reported that China’s foreign exchange reserves fell to $3.261 trillion in October. The State Administration of Foreign Exchange of China disclosed the data on foreign exchange reserves for October. Accordingly, the country’s foreign exchange reserves decreased by $55.3 billion at the end of October compared to the previous month. The total value of reserves, which decreased by 1.67% compared to September, stood at $3.261 trillion. The statement highlighted that the decrease in foreign exchange reserves was attributed to a combination of exchange transactions and changes in asset prices, as the US dollar index rose in October while global financial asset prices fell. China’s foreign exchange reserves have remained above $3.2 trillion for 11 months.
