China Conducts Military Exercise with Live Ammunition around Taiwan

China continues its military exercise around Taiwan in the East China Sea using live ammunition. Taiwan identified 76 aircraft and 15 warships belonging to China during the exercise.

China is maintaining its military exercise initiated around Taiwan, with an ongoing sovereignty dispute.

An announcement by the People’s Liberation Army (PLA) Eastern Theater Command stated that the ground forces conducted a exercise with long-range live ammunition in the East China Sea as part of the “Strait Thunder-2025A” exercise.

Colonel Shi Yi, spokesperson for the Eastern Theater Command, mentioned that the exercise included precise attacks on simulated targets such as ports and energy facilities, achieving the desired results.

In a statement made by the Taiwan Ministry of Defense in the morning hours, it was reported that in the last 24 hours, 76 aircraft and 15 warships belonging to China were identified around the island. SOVEREIGNTY DISPUTE BETWEEN TWO COUNTRIES.

While the Beijing government claims Taiwan as part of China, Taiwan asserts itself as an “independent country.” The Beijing government expresses its willingness to use force to fully integrate Taiwan under the name of “peaceful reunification.” China also considers official contacts between other countries and Taiwan as a “violation of sovereignty.”
