The mayor of Samsun, Halit Doğan, highlighted that the city will evolve into a production hub with the investment from Chinese automotive brand Chery and Machinery Chemical Industry. Emphasizing that these investments will boost the city’s strength, Doğan stated that Samsun will contribute significantly to Turkey’s Century with its developing industries, growing economy, young and talented workforce, investment, production, and export-focused growth strategy. He also mentioned that the residents of Samsun will no longer have to go abroad for work. This investment is expected to bring in around 1 billion dollars to Samsun through Chery, creating over 5,000 job opportunities. The facility, with an annual capacity of 200,000, will focus on manufacturing next-generation electric vehicles and components. Mayor Doğan also announced the installation of signs for the MKE Production Campus in Çarşamba, underlining the importance of this venture for the city’s future growth. The goal is for Samsun to be recognized for its investments, prosper, and progress further, making it a prime destination for investors. The recent establishment of the MKE Çarşamba Production Campus signifies a positive development for Çarşamba, Samsun, and the nation as a whole.
