The reserves of the Central Bank reached a record level of 159.4 billion dollars. In the same week, gross foreign exchange reserves showed an increase of 148 million dollars. The total reserves of the Central Bank of the Republic of Turkey (CBRT) reached an all-time high of 159 billion 365 million dollars in the week of October 18, with an increase of 1 billion 979 million dollars compared to the previous week. The CBRT announced its weekly money and banking statistics. As of October 18, the gross foreign exchange reserves of the Central Bank increased by 148 million dollars to 93 billion 791 million dollars. Gross foreign exchange reserves were at 93 billion 643 million dollars on October 11. During this period, gold reserves also rose by 1 billion 831 million dollars from 63 billion 743 million dollars to 65 billion 574 million dollars. Thus, the total reserves of the Central Bank increased by 1 billion 979 million dollars in the week of October 18, surpassing the all-time high to reach 159 billion 365 million dollars from 157 billion 386 million dollars in the previous week.
