With the Ramadan holiday approaching, a total of 8,000 bus trips will be organized daily. It is expected that 3.5 million people will be traveling during the 9-day holiday, which includes the mid-term break in schools.
As the days to the Ramadan holiday are numbered, Mustafa Yıldırım, the General President of the Federation of All Bus Drivers, provided information about bus trips. Yıldırım pointed out that this year’s mid-term break for the 2024-2025 academic year coincides with the Ramadan holiday, covering a period of 9 days. He expressed that starting from the middle of this week, there will be a high intensity of holiday trips on bus services. Yıldırım stated that tickets are running out on regular trips and said, “Due to the Ramadan holiday, there will be a busy period on bus trips starting from March 27th, and the return will be on April 6-7. If there is demand from bus companies, we will apply to the Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure to use tourism vehicles for passenger transport.”
