In March, the central government budget reported a deficit of 261.5 billion lira.
The Ministry of Treasury and Finance disclosed the budget implementation results for the month of March. Accordingly, budget revenues in March increased by 58.4 percent compared to the same month last year, reaching 766 billion 261 million lira, while budget expenditures also rose by 48.3 percent to 1 trillion 27 billion 727 million lira. During the January-March period, budget revenues surged by 47 percent compared to the same period last year, reaching 2 trillion 406 billion 769 million lira. Budget expenditures during the same period also increased by 45 percent, reaching 3 trillion 117 billion 586 million lira. The central government budget recorded a deficit of 261 billion 466 million lira in March and 710 billion 817 million lira during the January-March period.
