The Israeli army has alleged that Hezbollah leader Hasan Nasrallah has been killed. A source close to Hezbollah also announced to AFP that they have not been able to reach Nasrallah since last night. There has been no official statement from Hezbollah yet.
Tensions have escalated in the Middle East. On the fifth day of Israel’s attacks on Lebanon, consecutive explosions were reported in the capital city of Beirut.
It was reported that six people lost their lives and 91 were injured in the attacks.
An announcement from the Israeli army stated that Hezbollah’s central headquarters were targeted.
Yesterday, there were unconfirmed claims that Hezbollah leader Hasan Nasrallah had been killed in the attacks on Lebanon. Today, the Israeli army officially announced Nasrallah’s death.
Israeli media had previously stated that the main target of the attacks was Hezbollah leader Hasan Nasrallah.
While Israel announced that Nasrallah survived the attack, Hezbollah sources had stated that Nasrallah’s health condition was good.
A source close to Hezbollah also announced to AFP that they have not been able to reach Nasrallah since last night.
Following the report of Nasrallah’s death, Israeli Chief of Staff Herzi Halevi stated that they would reach out to anyone threatening Israel.
