In Pakistan, a bomb attack on a mosque left 4 people injured, including Abdullah Nadim, the Regional President of the Islamic Scholars Society. An investigation has been launched into the attack. According to the Dawn newspaper in Pakistan, Police Officer Asif Bahadır stated that an improvised explosive device (IED) hidden on the pulpit of the Mevlana Abdul Aziz Mosque in the South Waziristan region of the province exploded. Bahadır reported that JUI-F Regional President Nadim and 3 party members were injured in the blast, and they were taken to the Regional Central Hospital for treatment. Bahadır mentioned that an investigation has been initiated into the attack. TERROR ISSUE IN PAKISTAN Armed attacks in Pakistan are particularly concentrated in the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan provinces, which share a border with Afghanistan. Armed groups claiming to defend the rights of the Pashtun and Baloch ethnic groups in both provinces carry out attacks against Pakistan security forces and civilians. Islamabad alleges that the Pakistani Taliban (TTP) is based in Afghanistan and organizes its attacks from there, while the Afghan government denies these claims. In Balochistan, the attacks of the Balochistan Liberation Army (BLA) are prominent. BLA advocates for the separation of Balochistan province from Pakistan and for the Baloch people to govern this region.
