Body of young scientist found dismembered in a suitcase

The body of Italian descent scientist Alessandro Coatti, who worked in London, was found dismembered inside a suitcase.

It was reported that the suitcase containing the body of the young scientist was thrown into a stream near the city of Santa Marta in the Caribbean. Police stated that Alessandro Coatti’s hands, feet, and head were found, but the rest of his body has not been located yet.

REWARD FROM THE MUNICIPALITY

Santa Marta Mayor Carlos Pinedo Cuello announced that a reward would be given to those who assist in capturing the perpetrators of the murder. Cuello stated, “This crime will not go unpunished. We will search for the killers until justice is served.” Alessandro Coatti’s identity was determined through the hotel bracelet found on his body, and it is estimated that he was on vacation in the area. Alessandro Coatti’s work focused on animal rights and innovation in the biomedical field. It was revealed that the young scientist, who had been working at the Royal Society of Biology since 2017, had previously conducted postgraduate research in neuroscience at University College London.
