While a fragile ceasefire continues in Gaza, the Israeli army is intensifying its attacks in the West Bank. Most recently, the Israeli army demolished 17 houses in the Nur Shams camp. Palestinians were only allowed to take a few belongings from their homes. Similar scenes to Gaza are now repeating in the West Bank. Displaced individuals, destroyed homes, and the frantic search for belongings in the rubble is all captured on camera. The Israeli army has been conducting operations in four refugee camps for over a month. Initially, the army evacuated the camps at the start of the operation, forcing Palestinians to leave their homes. Expanding their operations, Israeli soldiers have now decided to demolish 17 houses in one camp. Prior to the demolition, Palestinians were briefly allowed to retrieve a few belongings from their homes. Palestinians tried to salvage what was most precious to them. After the demolition, the search for belongings in the rubble began. West Bank residents say that what is happening is no different from Gaza. In the operations launched by the Israeli army in the West Bank immediately after the Gaza ceasefire, more than 50 people have died so far. Approximately 40,000 Palestinians have been forced to leave their homes.
