WHAT IS INFLUENZA (H5N1)?
Influenza is a contagious viral disease that primarily affects the nose, throat, bronchi, and sometimes the lungs, causing mild or severe symptoms. There are 3 types of influenza viruses: A, B, and C.
WAYS OF TRANSMISSION FOR INFLUENZA
Influenza spreads through the respiratory route, when infected particles from coughing and sneezing by a sick person are inhaled by healthy individuals. It can also spread through contaminated hands and easily passes from person to person in crowded spaces. In temperate regions, it leads to annual outbreaks during winter.
