Bestselling Brands in the Second-Hand Market Revealed

In October, Volkswagen maintained its position as the most preferred brand in Turkey’s second-hand online vehicle market, with the Egea model being the most popular sedan and Doblo leading in the light commercial category.

According to the compilation from Indicata’s report on the second-hand online market, there were 441,572 corporate ads published last month. The number of ads increased by 14% compared to the same month last year and by 24% compared to September. Of the ads published in October, 186,583 vehicles were sold, representing 42% of the total. Sales increased by 7% compared to September and by 39% compared to October 2023. Volkswagen continued as the most preferred brand in the second-hand online vehicle market with 23,259 sales last month, excluding January. Volkswagen led in other months of the year as well. Following this, Renault had 22,275 sales, and Fiat with 22,215 sales. Ford ranked fourth with 16,409, BMW fifth with 11,187. Opel, Peugeot, Mercedes-Benz, Hyundai, and Audi also made it to the top 10, with Opel having 10,475 sales. Last month, 75% of the 186,583 vehicles sold in the second-hand online sedan and light commercial vehicle market belonged to these 10 brands.

In the second-hand online sedan car market, there were 154,697 sales last month. The Fiat Egea was the most preferred sedan model again in October with 8,651 sales. It continued to maintain its leadership position from the beginning of the year among the most preferred sedan models. Passat followed with 6,948 sales, then Clio with 6,929, followed by Megane with 6,828, Corolla with 4,392, Focus with 4,315, and Astra with 3,914 sales. The BMW 3 Series, BMW 5 Series, and Polo were among the top 10 models with 3,810, 3,709, and 3,203 sales, respectively. These 10 models accounted for 34% of the total sedan vehicle sales.

In the online market, there were 31,886 light commercial vehicle sales last month. Doblo remained the most preferred light commercial vehicle model in October with 4,411 sales. Ford Tourneo Courier ranked second with 4,073 sales and Fiat Fiorino third with 4,033 sales. Following them were VW Caddy, VW Transporter, Ford Transit, Renault Kangoo, Citroen Berlingo, Peugeot Partner, and Ford Transit, with 2,031, 1,826, 1,824, 1,401, 1,299, and 1,077 sales, respectively. The top 10 models accounted for 72% of the total light commercial vehicle sales.
