Balkan competition authorities gather in Istanbul

The Balkan Competition Platform meeting, organized by the Competition Authority, will take place in Istanbul tomorrow with the participation of competition authorities from Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Montenegro, Kosovo, North Macedonia, Romania, and Greece. The Competition Authority (RK) has taken action to strengthen relationships based on common history, culture, and geography among the Balkan competition authorities, solve competition law issues, and promote a culture of competition in the region. The Balkan Competition Platform meeting, organized by the Authority, will be held in Istanbul on September 30th. The meeting, to be held at the Dolmabahçe Working Office, will be attended by competition authorities from Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Montenegro, Kosovo, North Macedonia, Romania, and Greece. The Balkan Competition Platform aims to ensure the smooth functioning of markets in the Balkans and contribute to the development of a free market economy. The Platform aims to enhance regional collaboration through the exchange of knowledge and experience among Balkan competition authorities. The opening speeches of the meeting are expected to be delivered by Minister of Trade Ömer Bolat and Competition Authority President Birol Küle.
