President Ilham Aliyev of Azerbaijan met with the President of the Federal Republic of Germany, Frank-Walter Steinmeier. The meeting took place in the capital city of Baku and marked the first official visit at the presidential level from Germany to Azerbaijan. President Ilham Aliyev and his wife, Mehriban Aliyeva, welcomed President Frank-Walter Steinmeier and his wife, Elke Büdenbender. Following the welcome, Aliyev and Steinmeier engaged in one-on-one discussions as well as meetings with their respective delegations.
