In Antalya, which broke a record for foreign tourist numbers last year, there is an increase in domestic and international reservations for 2025.

According to the data from the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, the number of foreign tourists arriving in Antalya by air has exceeded 16 million 100 thousand as of January 1st to October 30th. After breaking a record last year with 16 million 84 thousand 737 foreign tourists, Antalya has already matched last year’s number with 2 months to spare. It is expected that Antalya will surpass 17 million tourists by the end of the year, and reservations for 2025 have already begun. President of the Mediterranean Touristic Hoteliers and Operators Association, Kaan Kaşif Kavaloğlu, mentioned that all industry stakeholders are pleased with the position Antalya has reached in tourism. Kavaloğlu highlighted how even the slightest issues can affect tourism and emphasized the significant efforts made in the sector so far, working on alternative markets while continuing to invest. Recalling the Ministry of Culture and Tourism’s target of “60 million tourists, 60 billion dollars in revenue” by year-end, Kavaloğlu stated that Antalya will more than fulfill its duty with an estimated 17 million tourists by the end of the year. Kavaloğlu noted an increase in almost all markets this year, with some exceeding expectations in tourist numbers. “2025 Looks Promising”

Kaan Kaşif Kavaloğlu expressed the readiness to close out 2024 positively and focus on 2025 as a tourism sector. Emphasizing the positive messages conveyed by the reservations for the upcoming year, Kavaloğlu stated: “We have started sales for the 2025 reservations. We have already made initial sales from the UK and Germany. As of October, we have also started receiving sales from the domestic market. This is promising for us. Turkish guests are also becoming more aware of early bookings, knowing they can secure the best discounts through early reservations. Reservations are coming in from both domestic and international markets. We can say that ‘2025 looks promising.'” Kavaloğlu pointed out that they are gradually approaching the targeted figures, with the average nightly rate exceeding $105. He added, “Our goal is to reach Spain and France, which have an average of $120 to $125 per night.”
