An incident in the capital of Ireland, Dublin, has been a hot topic on social media. Two American tourists were threatened with a whip by a carriage driver on allegations of not paying the boarding fee. In videos circulating on social media on Tuesday, it can be seen that the angry driver raised his whip and shouted at the frightened tourists, “Pay now, deposit my money into my bank account.” One of the tourists tried to resolve the situation by saying, “I have money, 100 dollars, extra,” but the driver ignored it and cursed at them. The tourists tried to end the incident by saying, “We apologize, we have learned our lesson, thank you.” The video received great attention on the X social media platform after being shared online. However, it remains unclear whether the tourists actually paid for the ride. This incident took place right in the middle of the St. Patrick’s Day celebrations in Dublin. During the celebrations, the city was adorned in green. A grand parade, attended by President Michael D. Higgins, was watched by approximately 500,000 people. Thousands of people from both domestic and international locations enjoyed themselves to the fullest with traditional Irish music and street entertainment.
