In the US state of Mississippi, an ambulance helicopter crashed, resulting in the loss of 3 lives.

An ambulance helicopter of the Eurocopter EC-135 type crashed into a wooded area in Madison County, Mississippi.

According to a statement from the University of Mississippi Medical Center, the pilot and 2 hospital staff members lost their lives as the helicopter crashed on its return journey after a medical transport.

The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) in the US has initiated an investigation into the accident, the cause of which is still unknown.
