Addition of 16 New Drugs to Reimbursement List: Five of Them Cancer Drugs

Sixteen more drugs, five of which are cancer medications, have been added to the reimbursement list. Minister of Labor and Social Security Vedat Işıkhan announced that they have increased the number of drugs covered by reimbursement that family doctors can prescribe and also extended the duration of many medications. The Social Security Institution has added new drugs to the reimbursement list. Minister of Labor and Social Security Vedat Işıkhan stated that 16 drugs have been included in the reimbursement coverage. Minister Işıkhan reported that five of these drugs are cancer medications. Minister Işıkhan mentioned that they have increased the number of drugs covered by reimbursement that family doctors can prescribe and also extended the duration of many medications. Minister Işıkhan said, “We have increased the number of drugs that family doctors and internal medicine specialist physicians can prescribe. I hope that the medications bring healing to our patients and wish our citizens a healthy life.”
