In Russia, Dmitry Levin, who serves in the navy, has been sentenced to 15 years in prison on charges of espionage for Ukraine. An announcement from the Russian Prosecutor’s Office stated that Levin was found guilty of treason and being a part of a terrorist organization.

In Russia, Russian citizen Dmitry Levin appeared in military court on charges of espionage for Ukraine. The court sentenced Levin, who serves in the navy, to 15 years in prison.

According to the statement from the Russian Prosecutor’s Office, Levin was found guilty of treason and being a part of a terrorist organization.

The statement mentioned that “Acting on instructions from his superiors, he collected information such as the locations of ships belonging to the Russian navy in the Tsemes Bay of Novorossiysk, as well as military units and air bases, along with their protection methods, and conveyed this information to representatives of Ukrainian special forces.”

The Prosecutor’s Office also reported that in another case, 56-year-old Natalia Shulga was sentenced to 15 years in prison in June 2024 for detonating a power line in Enerhodar.

Novorossiysk, targeted in attacks by Ukraine, is one of the important ports in the Black Sea, along with its base.
