The spokesperson for the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Maria Zakharova, made a statement regarding the gathering of 30 top military officials from European Union (EU) countries in the UK. Zakharova stated that the UK is trying to drag the EU into a bloodbath with Russia.

Russia reacted to the gathering of 30 top military officials from European Union (EU) countries at the Northwood military base in the UK last Thursday.

In her statement, Maria Zakharova, the spokesperson for the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, pointed out that the UK is well aware of the danger of sending peacekeeping forces to Ukraine, stating, “Therefore, Western countries slyly bring up the idea of anonymizing the military uniforms of the possible peacekeeping unit in Ukraine.”

“DRAGGING EUROPE INTO A BLOODBATH”

Zakharova also commented on the purpose of this meeting by saying, “We understand why they are doing this. They need to drag Europe into a bloodbath with Russia. London itself once left the European Union. Now, after disrupting the EU’s economy, their golden dream is to unify the European continent. And in the end, they will join the Anglo-Saxon coalition.”

In her statement, Zakharova also mentioned the Black Sea grain initiative, stating that Russia and the USA are discussing the terms of a new agreement to restart the initiative.
