An application that transfers rental agreements to the e-Government platform will soon be available. The process will be implemented in two stages. It will first commence for tenants and landlords shortly, and by the end of the year, it will become active for real estate agents as well. The Ministry of Treasury and Finance has completed its groundbreaking service for the reliable preparation of rental agreements through the e-Government Gateway. The service will be launched for tenants and landlords in the near future. Ministry departments have finalized their preparations for rental agreement processes to be conducted through the e-Government Gateway. This initiative to have these agreements regulated via the e-Government platform was launched in response to citizens’ demands for resolving disputes in this area. The Ministry received support from the Ministry of Environment, Urbanization, and Climate Change, as well as the Presidency’s Digital Transformation Office for this groundbreaking project. According to the Ministry’s work, this service titled “Rental Agreement Procedures” will be provided through the e-Government Gateway and will be implemented in two stages. The first stage, set to be accessible to citizens shortly, involves the real person property owner preparing the contract through the e-Government Gateway, which will then be confirmed by the tenant via the same platform. The second stage of the service will be introduced by the end of the year. This will enable real estate consultants and authorized individuals to prepare and present the contract for approval by the property owner and tenant. With this service, rental agreements will be created as time-stamped “barcoded documents,” allowing for document verification. Minister of Treasury and Finance Mehmet Şimşek highlighted that this service will benefit all sectors, stating, “Our citizens will be able to conduct rental agreement processes through the e-Government Gateway quickly, easily, and reliably, without the constraints of location and time, or the burden of document costs. This application will provide an opportunity for citizens to create contracts on a reliable government platform. It will also relieve our citizens from the burden of submitting rental agreements to institutions. Bureaucracy will be further reduced. Furthermore, data will be provided for the creation of the Turkey Real Estate Value Map.”
