Details have been revealed for the market support applications for retirees, which were among Ekrem İmamoğlu’s election promises. Under the Fair Istanbul initiative, low-income retirees will receive an annual market support of 10,000 TL. So, when will the applications for market support for retirees begin, where can the applications be made, and what are the application requirements? Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (IMM) President Ekrem İmamoğlu’s 2024 election promises include Market Support for Retirees. A total of 10,000 retirees identified as in need will receive an annual market support of 10,000 TL. The IMM Market Support applications for retirees will be open from October 30 to November 8, 2024. The 10,000 TL Market Support will be paid in 2 equal installments. The IMM aims to make the Market Support payments in November and December. Retirees wishing to benefit from the support can apply for IMM Market Support via the Istanbul Senin mobile app, the IMM Social Aid website, or the Alo 153 Support Line. The application requirements for IMM Market Support for retirees who wish to benefit from the support are: Being a Turkish citizen, being 60 years old or older retirees, residing in Istanbul, the applicant being a retired citizen, having no other income apart from a single retired pension in the household, and having a retired pension of less than 17,002 TL.
