Mehmet Şimşek to hold talks in Riyadh

Finance and Treasury Minister Mehmet Şimşek has traveled to Riyadh to attend the “Future Investment Initiative” Conference. As part of his daily meetings, Şimşek will meet with United Kingdom Minister of State for Trade Policy and Economic Security Douglas Garven Alexander, Indian Minister of Commerce and Industry Piyush Goyal, and Bahraini Minister of Finance and National Economy Shaikh Salman bin Khalifa. Şimşek will be one of the main speakers at the “Policy Makers Council: Can Leaders Offer Optimism Instead of Caution?” panel, which is considered the country’s most important global event and is being held for the 8th time this year within the framework of the “Future Investment Initiative” Conference. The panel will also include ministers from Saudi Arabia, India, and the United Kingdom, as well as President of the International Finance Corporation, Makhtar Diop. Minister Şimşek will also participate in investor meetings during his visit to Riyadh.
