In September, the Ministry of Trade issued inward processing authorization documents to 589 firms. Last month, the Ministry issued authorization certificates for 589 firms under the inward processing regime. The lists of inward processing authorization certificates cancelled for domestic sales and delivery, outward processing, and at the request of the companies were published in the Official Gazette. Accordingly, last month, 589 firms were granted inward processing authorization, while 1 authorization for outward processing and 57 domestic sales and delivery authorizations were issued. Additionally, 17 inward processing authorizations were cancelled at the request of the companies. WHAT IS THE INWARD PROCESSING REGIME? The Inward Processing Regime is a trade policy that allows imported goods to be exempt from customs duties or other trade measures under the customs legislation of a country under specific conditions.
