Stock shares traded on the Borsa Istanbul lost an average of 0.93 percent weekly, while the euro/TL decreased by 0.77 percent and the dollar/TL by 0.10 percent. The gram price of gold showed an increase of 2.29 percent. After hitting the lowest point at 8,680.72 and the highest at 9,070.02 points, the BIST 100 index completed the week at 8,793.61 points, losing 0.93 percent compared to the previous week’s closing. The gram selling price of 24-carat gold traded in Kapalıçarşı increased by 2.29 percent to 2,991 lira this week, while the selling price of Republic gold rose by 1.35 percent to 20,280 lira. The selling price of quarter gold, which was 5,020 lira last weekend, increased by 1.37 percent to 5,089 lira. This week, the US dollar decreased by 0.10 percent to 34.2490 lira, while the euro dropped by 0.77 percent to 37.2260 lira. Investment funds gained 0.42 percent this week, while pension funds increased by 0.77 percent. Among investment funds, the “precious metals” funds were the highest earners with 3.20 percent growth.
