New Claim by Zelensky: “North Korean Soldiers in Ukraine”

Ukrainian leader Volodymyr Zelensky alleged that North Korean soldiers have been deployed in Ukraine to fight alongside the Russian army. Zelensky accused North Korea of providing weapons, workers, and soldiers to Russia. Speaking at a NATO meeting in Brussels, Zelensky claimed that North Korea was preparing to send a total of 10,000 soldiers to fight against Ukraine.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky stated that Ukrainian intelligence has information that some North Korean officers have been deployed in the Ukrainian territories occupied by Russia. Additionally, Zelensky mentioned in a press conference in Brussels that North Korea was preparing to send a total of 10,000 soldiers to fight against Ukraine.

DID NORTH KOREA SEND SOLDIERS TO UKRAINE? Recent reports from sources like Interfax-Ukraine and KyivPost claimed, based on Ukrainian intelligence, that on October 3, six North Korean soldiers were killed and three were injured in the Russian-occupied Donbas region. According to the sources, the North Korean soldiers were present in the area for “exchange of experiences” with Russian army personnel. On October 8, South Korean Defense Minister Kim Yong-hyun alleged that North Korea may have sent soldiers to Ukraine to assist Russia.
