American billionaire Elon Musk has reportedly donated a total of $75 million to the campaign of US Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump in the last 3 months. As the countdown to the presidential elections on November 5th in the US continues, Republican Trump is trying to close the gap in campaign donations with his Democratic rival Kamala Harris with the support of billionaire business people. According to the latest data from the Federal Election Commission (FEC), American billionaire Musk contributed a total of $75 million to Trump’s campaign during the period covering July-August-September. Musk, who has openly expressed his support for Trump on several occasions and recently attended a campaign rally for the Republican candidate, played a significant role in increasing donations to Trump during the summer. Additionally, long-time supporters of Trump in the Republican Party, such as Miriam Adelson and Richard Uihlein, were reported to have increased their donations to Trump during this period. The Adelson family, known for their support for Israel and intensive efforts to encourage Trump’s pro-Israel actions during his presidency from 2016 to 2020, donated $95 million to Trump during this period. Another billionaire business person, Uihlein, also contributed a total of $50 million to Trump’s campaign during the same period. According to the latest FEC data, Democratic candidate Kamala Harris raised a total of $678 million in the last 3-month period, while Republican Trump collected a total of $310 million in donations.
