The date has been set for the Central Bank of the Republic of Turkey (CBRT) Monetary Policy Committee’s October interest decision announcement. Accordingly; the Central Bank’s October interest decision will be announced on Thursday, October 17, 2024, at 14.00. AA Finance’s expectation survey for the Monetary Policy Committee (MPC) meeting to be held on Thursday, October 17, was concluded with the participation of 16 economists. The median value of economists’ expectations regarding changes in the policy rate was for the interest rate to be kept at 50%. According to the survey results, all economists predict that the policy rate will be kept at 50%. The median of economists’ year-end policy rate expectations was calculated as 47.50%. In addition, 5 economists predicted that the policy rate would be 50% by the end of the year, while 7 predicted it would be 47.5%.
