Minister of Trade Ömer Bolat stated that Africa will become a significant attraction center, saying, “We want to sign new agreements with African countries.” During the opening of the 11th World Cooperation Industries Forum (WCI Forum), Minister Bolat addressed 1500 business people from various African countries who gathered with Turkish SMEs engaged in production and export. Minister Bolat highlighted that the trade volume had increased to $37 billion by 2023 and mentioned that the forum provided new collaboration opportunities for Turkish and African business people. Bolat also indicated that in the near future, the number of embassies in African countries would exceed 50, signaling Africa’s emergence as a crucial attraction center. Bolat emphasized that all strategies of Turkey towards this continent are based on a “win-win” principle. Bolat revealed that the trade volume between Africa and Turkey had approached $27 billion in the first 9 months of the year and expressed their desire to sign new agreements with African countries.
