Proposal Presented to Our Parliament Aimed at Supporting Defense Industry Fund

Vice President Cevdet Yılmaz stated that a package has been proposed to our Parliament. Especially, a package aimed at supporting the Defense Industry Fund. Not a single penny will go into the budget. All the elements presented in this latest package will be allocated to strengthen the defense industry in our efforts in this area. Speaking at the Innovation Champions Awards Ceremony organized by the Turkish Exporters Assembly (TIM) at the Haliç Congress Center within the scope of the Turkish Innovation Week, Yılmaz stated that they launched the 11th edition of the Innovation League program this year to enhance exports and encourage the companies that are a source of pride for Turkey. He mentioned that the program started in 2014 with 460 applications, and each year, there is an increasing interest compared to the previous year. Last year, for the first time, they were pleased to exceed the 2,000 limit, reaching a total of 2,302 applications from 67 different cities this year. Yılmaz indicated that the awareness of innovation and export-based consciousness is increasingly spreading among companies each year compared to the previous year, citing that the Innovation Champions of last year achieved a total of 6.8 billion dollars in exports by 30 companies by 2023. Yılmaz emphasized that they always support the exporters they see as the pioneers of the Turkish economy and stand by them in times of difficulty. He stated that they have set clear targets for the upcoming years in exports in their meetings with state and government leaders visiting our country, indicating that the export issues of our exporters have always been among the top priorities on our agenda. He continued by saying that they are working intensively to remove obstacles one by one and to facilitate the ways for our business world in order to reach the set goals. Yılmaz noted that they have presented awards to 124 different companies until today and expressed his belief that they will exceed 2,500 applications next year. He concluded by pointing out that they sincerely support every business person contributing to the production, employment, welfare, and development of Turkey.
