The amount of defense industry participation fees has raised curiosity following the proposal submitted by the government to the Parliament Presidency. Citizens will pay service fees to increase the income of the Defense Industry Fund. With the implementation of the regulation, fees will be transferred to the Defense Industry from credit card transactions, motorcycles, and real estate transactions. So, how much are the defense industry participation fees? Who will pay how much for the defense industry? Service fees will be collected from citizens to increase the resources of the Defense Industry Support Fund under the defense industry participation fees. Participation fees will be deducted from vehicle and real estate transactions, notary transactions, and credit card transactions. Motorcycles below 100 CC will be included in the Motor Vehicle Tax system. So, how much are the defense industry participation fees? Who will pay how much for the defense industry? In order to increase the resources of the Defense Industry Support Fund, participation fees will be collected from some transactions. The Law Proposal on Some Regulations Related to the Defense Industry and Amendments to Some Laws, bearing the signatures of AK Party members of parliament, has been submitted to the Turkish Grand National Assembly. The provisions included in the draft to increase the income of the Defense Industry Fund are as follows: An amount equal to the stamp duty amount received from tax returns, customs declarations, and social security institution declarations, as well as half of the stamp duty amount from annual income tax returns; 750 lira from both the buyer and seller in real estate transactions; 375 lira from other transactions made at the land registry office; 3,000 lira for new car registrations at notaries, 1,500 lira for second-hand car transactions, and 75 lira for other transactions; 750 lira annually from credit cards with a limit of 100,000 lira and above; A regulation is being made regarding the collection of participation fees for the Defense Industry Support Fund. A new regulation is also being made in the Motor Vehicle Tax. Accordingly, motorcycles with a cylinder capacity below 100 CC and motorcycles with a motor power below 6 kW are included in the scope of the Motor Vehicle Tax. Drones and wristwatches with an excise duty base above 5,000 TL are also included in the scope of the Special Consumption Tax.
