Israeli Defense Minister Yoav Gallant stated that Hezbollah is a “headless organization” and mentioned that the person who would take Nasrallah’s place has apparently been eliminated. He claimed that Hezbollah is in a situation similar to what Hamas faced, or even worse.
After a speech by Hezbollah Deputy Secretary-General Naim Kassem, a statement came from Israeli Defense Minister Yoav Gallant.
During a visit to the Northern Command of the army, Gallant declared that Hezbollah is a “headless organization.” He stated that Hasan Nasrallah, the Secretary-General of Hezbollah, has been “eliminated,” and the person expected to succeed him is also, apparently, eliminated.
It was previously claimed that Hashim Safieddine, who was expected to succeed Nasrallah, was targeted in an Israeli attack last week. Hezbollah announced that Safieddine couldn’t be reached after the attack.
Gallant emphasized the dramatic consequences of this reality, as he alleged that there’s no one left in the organization to make decisions. He expressed that since Nasrallah’s death, Hezbollah has been “battered and broken.”
Additionally, Gallant argued that Hezbollah’s attack capabilities have been severely affected and the organization is in a situation similar to what Hamas experienced, or even worse.
Gallant expressed the viewpoint that within a year of the war, Hamas is fragmented and Hezbollah is a wounded organization. He stated, “When the smoke clears in Lebanon, Israel’s actions are visible throughout the Middle East.”
HEZBOLLAH: LOSSES HAVE BEEN REPLACED
In a statement today, Hezbollah’s Deputy Secretary-General Naim Kassem mentioned, “The places of our losses have been filled. It is a delusion to think that Israel has hit our capabilities.”
Kassem highlighted that the organization’s fighters repelled Israel’s ground attacks. He also mentioned that a new Secretary-General will be chosen soon, but due to the state of war, they are struggling to make the selection.
