Russia: US and UK allegedly involved in explosions on Nord Stream pipelines

The Head of the Russian Foreign Intelligence Service (SVR), Sergey Naryshkin, claimed that the US and UK were directly involved in the explosions on the Nord Stream natural gas pipelines. Speaking at a meeting of the security service heads of the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) in Moscow, Naryshkin addressed the explosions on the Nord Stream 1 and Nord Stream 2 natural gas pipelines in 2022. He stated, “The SVR has information that the US and UK were directly involved in this major act of terrorism. According to the information obtained, professional saboteurs from Anglo-Saxon intelligence services were involved in the organization, preparation, and execution of this action.” Naryshkin also mentioned the situation in the Eurasian region, pointing out that the West aims to destabilize this region. He added, “According to the information obtained, the surviving militants after the end of conflicts in Ukraine will be used to destabilize the situation in the Eurasian region.”
