The item with the highest price increase in September was student dormitories. There was a 50% increase in student dormitories. University education came second with 45%. In third place was eggs with 34%. In terms of consumer prices, the highest monthly price increase in September was 50.4% in other accommodation services (student dormitories), while the highest price decrease was 4.31% in other unspecified personal accessories. The Turkish Statistical Institute (TÜİK) made changes to the tables in the inflation news bulletin. Two tables showing the limited number of selected headline categories with the highest increase, decrease, or least increase on a monthly basis were removed, and instead, a new table containing all headline categories at the 5-digit level of Classification Of Individual Consumption According to Purpose (COICOP) was shared with the public. In this context, the monthly changes of products in the list and their annual change rates were included in the table. Accordingly, last month the highest price increase was 50.4% in other accommodation services (student dormitories). This was followed by 45.27% for university education, and 34.25% for eggs. Among other products that showed the highest price increase in September were child care services (kindergartens) with 23.86%, fresh fish with 18.65%, and bus transportation within the city with 12.74%. The highest monthly price decrease last month was 4.31% in other classified personal accessories. This was followed by 3.93% for mobile phones, equipment, and accessories, 3.67% for breakfast cereals, and 3.36% for passenger air transportations.
