3 Mins Read

The anxious anticipation for the last Solar Eclipse of the year continues. According to the celestial events calendar, the Solar Eclipse will occur hours later. The curiosity revolves around whether the historic total Solar Eclipse that took place on April 8th and was visible from much of the US, can be observed from Turkey. So, when and at what time will the Solar Eclipse take place? Will the Annular Solar Eclipse be visible from Turkey? Following the historic total Solar Eclipse that occurred on April 8th and was visible from much of the US, the countdown is now on for the second Solar Eclipse of this year. On Wednesday, October 2nd, a dramatic “ring of fire” solar eclipse will take place, affecting some regions of the Pacific Ocean including Hawaii, Southern Chile, and Southern Argentina, and then reaching the Atlantic Ocean. The difference between the annular eclipse in October and the total eclipse that occurred in April of this year is that during the annular eclipse, the Moon is closer to the Earth and farther from the Sun. The annular solar eclipse on October 2, 2024 will be visible from the South Pacific Ocean, Southern America, the Atlantic Ocean, and Antarctica. It will not be visible in North America, but Hawaii will be able to witness it as a partial eclipse. The partial eclipse will begin at 15:42 UTC, while the annular eclipse will start at approximately 16:50 UTC. The maximum point will occur at 18:45 UTC and the phenomenon will end around 21:47 UTC. The celestial event will begin approximately at 16:54 UTC, about 1700 miles southwest of the Hawaiian Islands, and will follow a path of 205 miles in width. Its duration will be 5 minutes and 39 seconds. The regions that will experience the annular structure on Earth are as follows: Rapa Nui/Easter Island, Chile (starting at 14:03 EAST, 5 minutes and 38 seconds up to 6 minutes, 12 seconds in the shape of a ring starting 67 degrees above North) Cochrane, Chile (starting at 17:21 CLST, 5 minutes and 40 seconds, heading 26 degrees above NNW) Perito Moreno National Park, Argentina (starting at 17:21 ART, 6 minutes and 17 seconds in the ring shape, 25 degrees above NNW) Puerto Deseado, Argentina (starting at 17:27 ART, 3 minutes and 22 seconds in ring shape, 20 degrees above NNW) Puerto San Julian, Argentina (starting at 17:24 ART, 5 minutes and 12 seconds in the shape of a ring, 21 degrees above NNW) On Wednesday, the partial solar eclipse will be visible from the following locations and degrees: Ushuaia, Argentina 72% Falkland Islands 84% Villarrica, Chile 63% Punta Arenas, Chile 75% Buenos Aires, Argentina 42% Sao Paulo, Brazil 10%
