In Thailand, a school bus carrying preschool students caught on fire, resulting in the deaths of 16 children and three teachers. It was alleged that the 48-year-old bus driver fled after the incident. On a highway in Pathum Thani province of Thailand, at around 12:20 local time today, a school bus carrying 38 preschool students and six teachers caught on fire. Among the 16 children and three teachers who lost their lives were young children aged 4-5 who could not escape from the bus during the fire. Many students, including some critically injured, were transferred to surrounding hospitals by the response teams. After the incident, it was alleged that the 48-year-old bus driver fled the scene. Thai Prime Minister Paetongtarn Shinawatra extended his condolences to the families of the deceased.
